Mindfulness, Meditation & Martial Arts - Tempe, Arizona

“Meditation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what hold you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”

We have a great program of dynamic meditation!

So what is dynamic meditation? It's meditation in action as opposed to sitting practices. For many people, dynamic meditation has a much greater carry over to everyday life, wheter it's work or play!

Meditation has been shown conclusively to

  • Improve Concentration
  • Increase Spontaneaity and Creativity
  • Reduce Stress (lowering certain risk factors to health)
  • Increased Sense of Peace, Happiness and Wellbeing

The foundation of I-Liq Chuan is based on Tai Chi principles and Zen philosophy. That's why we refer to I-Liq chuan as "The Martial Art of Awareness". Students who are interested primarily in training I-Liq Chuan as a form of meditation will focus on our 15 basic exercises and the 21 form. (See What You Will Learn below)

What You Will Learn

Students will be taught how and where to place attention on the body. The specific requirements of I-Liq Chuan's posture must be maintained moment to moment and offer a great method of feedback not usually found in other forms of meditation!

The 15 Basic Exercises

are performed slowly and with control and are safe for almost anyone! That means whether you're 17 or 70, if you're interested in learning a form of moving meditation, I-Liq Chuan might be just what you're looking for.

Students will also learn I-Liq Chuan's 21 form, which is like practicing all of the basic exercises in one continuous motion.
