Everyone comes to class with a different level of fitness, and THAT'S OK! We take a very progressive approach. What that means is that ANYTHING can be modified to suit YOUR CURRENT LEVEL OF FITNESS. Once you've mastered an easier movement you will be progressed to a slightly more difficult version. Watch the video on this page and you'll see examples of both women and young girls doing full push ups! They were all taught to perform that movement from much simpler ones.
SAFETY is our number one priority when you come to train, and unlike joining a conventional gym, in Falling Leaves Kung Fu's group fitness classes you'll have hands on guidance and support from Sifu Ashe or one of the more experienced trainees from our program. You'll never be left alone to train!

One of the best things about our group fitness classes in Tempe is that we will track the results of each training session so you can follow your progress from week to week and over the course of each year! We offer a planned program spanning the entire year, broken into eight, six week phases. Each phase is slightly different than the last, offering enough variety keep interest and enthusiasm, yet trains the same movements enough to allow you to become skilled in them and progress over time.

If you've got that competitive urge, you can kick your training into high gear and join us as we prepare ourselves for our sport fighting matches. Falling Leaves Kung Fu Chief Instructor Ashe Higgs has fought amateur San Da (full contact Chinese martial arts similar to MMA) since 2007 and has a current amateur record of 3-1-0 (three wins, one loss and no knockouts).
This level of intense training is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY and is by no means mandatory or even encouraged for the average person who comes to our fitness bootcamp classes!
